Class to meet for brunch

The Youngsville High School Class of 1962 will meet for brunch at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb.7, at Station 61 in Youngsville.

Library announces upcoming events for children

From chickens to houseplants and Dr. Seuss, the Warren Public Library’s Children’s Department has some events coming up. In addition to the weekly Toddler Time – 10:30 a.m. Mondays — that feature stories, songs, crafts, and creative play to help build a strong early literacy foundation and provide opportunities to build social skills, there are two singular events. The Warren County Master Gardeners will hold Create a Terrarium for Starting Houseplants at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. All supplies will be provided and participants will build a terrarium they get to keep and select plants to grow in them. There is a maximum of 18 participants in grades K through 8 and pre-registration is required by stopping at the Children’s Department or calling Slater at (814) 723-4650 ext. 126. At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, Mike Morton and his chickens pay tribute to Dr. Seuss. Registration is not required for Toddler Time.
