Submitted Photo Kim Turner, Audubon Community Nature Center animal care specialist, is pictured with Soren the Red-tailed Hawk, the most recent rescued bird of prey to take up residence at the Nature Center. Turner will introduce Soren and Cricket the American Kestrel at the member sneak peek and annual meeting on Monday, Sept. 26.

On Monday, Sept. 26, Audubon Community Nature Center members will join staff and board members in celebrating 62 years of incorporation as a non-profit.

At the 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. gathering, they will welcome incoming board members and learn more about the ongoing wildlife habitat project that now houses two new birds of prey. A special program featuring both Cricket the American Kestrel and Soren the Red-tailed Hawk will be provided by Kim Turner, animal care specialist.

The event is designed specifically for ACNC members. In addition to the program, current Audubon board members and Leigh Rovegno, executive director, will share reflections on the recent fiscal year and welcome incoming board members. Light appetizers and beverages will be provided. The short annual business meeting will follow the presentations and appetizers.

The fee is $6. Paid reservations, required by Monday, Sept. 19, can be made by calling 716-569-2345 or through “Programs and Events” at AudubonCNC.org.
