PennDOT will be painting some lines overnight through the next week.

Nighttime line painting is scheduled, weather permitting, for 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. during the week of Aug. 8 in Warren and Forest counties.

Motorists who come upon a line-painting operation are asked to:

¯ stay at least 500 back from the equipment;

¯ not drive on the wet paint lines (lines dry in two minutes under ideal conditions — up to several more minutes when it is cooler);

¯ not pass the trucks in the paint train; and

¯ be patient — “the paint truck will pull over periodically to let traffic pass,” according to PennDOT.
