Needs in the community shift to some degree when the weather turns cold.
One such example? Socks.
To that end, Cambridge Retirement Living is running a sock drive with the aim of benefitting local school children this holiday season.
It’s the four year that residents and staff have undertaken the initiative.
“I’m so thrilled to continue this wonderful tradition,” Sheila Swartz, director of sales and marketing for Cambridge Retirement Living, said.

The goal is ambitious — 5,000 socks.
People wishing to donate new, unworn socks for both male and female, and all children’s sizes, may do so at the front desk of Cambridge Warren, 706 Pennsylvania Ave., W.
Those looking for contactless drop off can call Melissa at (814) 688-0720.
It’s part of a broader corporate initiative, Cambridge Cares, which, according to a statement, has resulted in the collection of cleaning supplies, canned goods, water and toys in various communities.
“We’ve got big goals, but I know with the continuous support of this amazing community we’ll reach them! And be able to give back to those in need,” Swartz said.
