March 30: Spring Raffle, Garland Firehall. Doors open at 6 p.m. Raffle starts at 7 p.m.

April 5: The Woman’s Club of Warren’s Usable Discards sale will be held Friday, April 5, 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, April 6, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Huge assortments of gently-used items. Something for everyone. Also, homemade cookies for sale.

April 5 and 6: Fiber Arts Conference, First United Methodist Church, 200 Market Street. Register for classes at kinzuaknitaway.com from January 8 to March 10.

April 6: Fiber Market Place, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. $3 entrance fee, door prizes.

April 6: Garland Ridge Runners Muzzleloader Club, Inc. spaghetti dinner fundraiser. Doors open at noon, dinner served at 1 p.m. Garland VFD. Activities begin after dinner.

April 6: 8 p.m., Struthers Library Theatre, Warren, Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) Tribute by Green River, For tickets, call (814) 489-3110, or online at yankeebushproductions.com.

April 13: Garland Presbyterian Church Annual First Day of Trout Season Chicken BBQ, 3915 Route 27, Garland; noon until sold out; 1/2 BBQ Chicken, baked beans, choice of mac salad, potato salad or baked potato, Roll $10. Chicken only $6.

April 13: Warren County Collection Event, Recycleathon, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sheffield High School. 1-866-815-0016, or www.ecsr.net.

April 13: “Death Stalks the Historical Society — Behind the Secret Side Door” Murder Mystery & Dinner: 5:30 p.m. at the Conewango Club. Tickets are $30 and are available at the Warren County Historical Society, 210 4th Ave., Warren, or at www.warrenhistory.org.

April 13: Benefit Chicken and Biscuits Dinner, Russell United Methodist Church, 4 to 7 p.m. Eat in or take out available. Cost by donation. Proceeds to the Cozy Quilt Ministry, providing warmth and comfort to cancer patients.

April 19: Fish Fry, Garland Firehall, 5 to 7:30 p.m.

May 5: Silver Winds Flute Choir presents Sounds of Spring, 4 p.m. First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren. Free concert (donations accepted).
