Richard H. Ruben, MD joins WGH cancer care team

Warren General Hospital Cancer Care Center (WGH CCC), one of NW PA premier cancer care centers with 15 years of service to patients battling cancer and blood diseases, is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Richard Ruben, a medical oncologists and hematologists, to the cancer center. With the addition of Dr. Ruben, WGH CCC can better meet the growing demand for its services throughout Northwestern PA.

“We are very excited to welcome this skilled cancer specialists to our practice,” said Terry Cook, CCC Manager at WGH “Not only are we adding new expertise, enhanced services and current treatment in the areas of medical oncology and hematology, local patients have the opportunity to receive this excellent care in a convenient, community-based setting.”

Dr. Ruben graduated from the Hunter College of CUNY with a BA degree. He then earned his medical degree from the University of the East Memorial Medical Center, Manila, Philippines and completed an Internal Medicine residency at; Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, V.A., Fort Hamilton Hospital Sonny Health Science Center, Downstate, Brooklyn. Dr. Ruben completed his fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology at Maimonides Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine ABIM Oncology Subspecialty and is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
