November 9: Happy Birthday Sesame Street, 11 a.m., Warren Public Library. Celebrate Sesame Street’s 50th birthday. Stories, songs, games, crafts, and snacks. Limited attendance, registration mandatory. Leave a message for Ms. Susan, 723-4650.

November 9: Veterans Appreciation Day, 1 to 5 p.m., Wilder Museum. $5 per person or $1 per student. Veterans admitted free of charge. Refreshments provided.

November 9: Akeley United Methodist Church – Harvest Dinner, 4:30 to 7 p.m.; homemade turkey and ham dinner with all the fixings. By donation. Proceeds benefit programs of the Akeley United Methodist Church.

November 13: Warren Area High School will be holding its NCAA signing day at 7 p.m. in the WAHS Cafeteria. Student-athletes at WAHS who are planning on playing a sport at college and know what college they are going to play for after they graduate from WAHS are invited to attend. The athletic department would also like to invite the student athlete’s coaches, families, teachers, and friends to attend.

November 14: Warren Garden Club Board Meeting, Warren Public Library, 10:15 a.m.

November 16: Foghat at Struthers Library Theatre at 8 p.m. Original ’70s Blues-Rock Legends “Slow Ride, Take it Easy”. Tickets at www.StruthersLibraryTheatre.com, Theatre Office, or (814) 723-7231.

November 16: What’s New for the Holidays artisan show, Warren Woman’s Club, 310 Market St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the ballroom; $3 entry. Beef on Weck luncheon, $10 — served from 11:30 a.m. until gone.

November 18-24: Operation Christmas Child National Collection Week will be held at Pleasant Community Church, 673 Pleasant Dr, Warren, the week of Nov. 18-24. For more information, call 723-7730.

November 21: Warren Garden Club’s next regular meeting will be held at 1 p.m., St. Joseph Education Center, Meyer Hall, 600 Pennsylvania Ave. West, Warren.

November 23: Holiday Treasure Sale at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a bake sale, silent auction, and Santa will make a visit.

November 23: Winter Wonderland Craft Show, sponsored by Youngsville Fireman’s Auxiliary, Youngsville Fire Hall, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 108 tables, food available, Chinese Auction. Free admission. For information, call 563-4042.

November 29-December 1: A Christmas Spectacular at Struthers Library Theatre. Molly Dies’ Dance Express. A high-kicking, heart-warming, hometown Christmas musical; full of singing, dancing, and a Christmas storyline; www.StruthersLibraryTheatre.com or (814) 723-7231 for details.

November 30: Scandia Vol. Fire dept., 5950 Scandia Road, Russell. Turkey party, doors open at 6 p.m. Party starts at 7 p.m.; $3 donation at the door and prizes are guns, meats, and cash.

December 8: Silver Winds Flute Choir presents A Patchwork of Seasons. This free concert begins at 2 p.m. Sunday at the 1st United Methodist Church, 200 Market St Warren. Donations are accepted.

December 8: The Grace United Methodist Church Choir presents its annual Christmas concert: “Because of Love,” 3:40 p.m.

Mondays, September 16 to December 9: Toddler Time: 10:30 a.m., Warren Public Library Children’s Department. Stories, songs, crafts, creative play, ages 1-4.

Tuesdays, September 17 to December 10: Build It Up, Take It Down, 3 to 5 p.m., Warren Public Library Children’s Department. STEM play with blocks, LEGOs, Magna Tiles, Bee-Bots, Bloco Robots and other toys that enhance learning.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays: Have You Visited the Book Cellar? In the lower level of the Warren Public Library. Selection of books for children, teens, and adults, plus DVDs & puzzles; priced from $.25- $4. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or whenever you see Sherm the Book Worm flying outside.
