Fifty years after marrying on October 5, 1963, Robert and Mary Bishop are gratefully celebrating a half-century as husband and wife!

From a first date at Sully’s in Buffalo, N.Y., came a memorable courtship, followed by a beautiful wedding at St. Paul’s Church in Kenmore, N.Y. Bob’s career took them from New York to Minnesota, Michigan, back to New York, Pennsylvania and back to Michigan, with each home providing countless special memories with their wonderful family and friends. After retirement, the Bishops moved to Florida, where they currently live. They have two wonderful sons (one more so than the other) and daughters-in-law: Geoff (Jan) and Bob (Laura), six precious grandchildren: Jon (Grace), Ethan, Benjamin, Sean, Sydney and Kyle, and one great granddaughter, Nora.

In October, the children and grandchildren will be joining Bob and Mary for a family dinner in Canton, Ohio.

Happily, what began with the meeting of two best friends more than 50 years ago, will be celebrated with the family that is Bob’s and Mary’s most treasured accomplishment in half a century.
