James and Frankie Bonavita Zavinski celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 21 with a dinner in their honor hosted by their children and grandchildren at Chiodo’s Ferro Cucina.

Jim and Frankie were married Sept. 21, 1963, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Warren by the Rev. Fr. Rocco Tito. They moved to Warren in 1972 from Tidioute to raise three sons, Jim Jr., Jeffrey and Mark. They are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren, Christian, Eric, Ryan and Alex Zavinski and Megan and Trey Loomis.

Jim is retired from Whirley Industries and currently serves as a Warren City Councilman. He and Frankie remain active in many local projects to enhance and beautify the City of Warren.
