Hill & Dale Garden Club meets The Hill & Dale Garden Club meeting was held Aug. 25 at Mel’s Place in Corry. A total of 15 attended. The group decided to do the arrangements for the Garden Therapy at the September meeting and we will send them to the Rouse Home. More small flowers will be needed. A member reported that the Sugar Grove Park garden really needs weeded and thinned out again before the group can mulch. It was decided to meet Sept. 13 at 8:00 a.m. for this. Registration Begins Backyard curling registration for the fall 2021 season at Northwest Arena in Jamestown is underway. The nine-week season begins Oct. 11. Multiple times are available on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a single league on Fridays at 4:30 p.m. Each league is composed of four-person teams with an entry fee of $280 per team. Adapted for the Northwest Arena, backyard curling can be played with the traditional slide technique or by using a curling stick similar to shuffleboard. No brooming is needed.
