Patrols and sobriety checkpoints during Labor Day

The Warren County DUI Task Force will conduct roving patrols and sobriety checkpoints during the Labor Day weekend.

Mum’s The Word Fundraiser

The Sugar Grove Library is holding its annual “Mum’s The Word!” fundraiser. The mums are raised by a local grower and coupons may be purchased at the library or from any board member. Orders of over five mums may be delivered locally.

Luncheon at Pellegrino’s Italian Market Sept. 14

The next luncheon of the Jamestown Warren Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners will be held at noon Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Pellegrino’s Italian Market, Conewango Ave., Warren. The Rev. Doug Pennhollow of Community Chapel on Camp Street in Jamestown, will be the musical guest as well as spiritual speaker. Catering will be provided by Tom Pellegrino serving lasagna, eggplant parmesan, salad, water, and coffee for $15. There are no dues or membership in the organization. Lunch at the Cornerstone Sept. 3 at 1p.m.

The Osram-Sylvania retired ladies will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3 at the Cornerstone. Everyone is welcome.

AOC to float

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will kayak at Sugar Bay on the Allegheny Reservoir on Sunday, Sept. 5. The group will meet at Musante St. at 1:30 p.m. This was scheduled for last week but canceled. Earl Ross will be the leader and can be reached at (814) 706-1198.
