Transportation officials outline long-term goals

Regional transportation officials have laid out a vision for the future. That future is defined as 2020-2045 and is encapsulated in a long range transportation plan. A draft of the document has been published by the Northwest Commission’s Rural Planning Organization, of which Warren County is a part, paints that picture. School Board mulls LERTA, audit results

There are LERTA proposals and then there are LERTA proposals. Warren County has asked Warren County School District to approve and join in a county-wide Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance program that would give individuals and entities that develop property a break on their property taxes for years. Grants available energy efficiency

The Met-Ed/Penelec Sustainable Energy Fund will distribute nearly $200,000 in grants throughout the Pennsylvania service territories of the Met-Ed and Penelec energy companies in 2020 for projects and programs that support the development and use of clean energy technologies and energy efficiency. Grants will range from $2,000 to $50,000, depending on the scope of the projects. Applications will be accepted online from January 15 through March 16, with decisions to be made in July 2020.
