On Saturday, Feb. 11, Bishop Cynthia Moore-Koikoi of Western PA United Methodist Conference opened the Workshop Worship, at Sheffield United Methodist Church. After the morning session the Bishop Cynthia Moore-Koikoi left to return to Pittsburgh to leave on a Mission Trip to Haiti. Sheffield and Barnes parishes hosted the event.

Michael Henry’s Eagle Scout ceremony took place on December 11, 2016. Michael earned 30 Merit Badges including the following: Archery; Backpacking; Camping; Citizenship in the Community ,Nation and World; Communications; Cooking; Electricity ;Emergency Preparedness; Environmental Science; Family Life; First Aid; Fishing; Fly Fishing; Gardening; Hiking; Leather working; Motor Boating; Nature; Personal Fitness; Personal Management; Plumbing; Radio; Rifle ;Shotgun; Snow Sports; Swimming; Wilderness Survival and Woodcarving. For Michael’s Eagle Project, he remodeled the Free Methodist Church Drama Room. The scope of the project was to raise the ceiling 4 feet and add storage. He accomplished this by removing the current suspended ceiling and lighting, constructing an additional 4 feet of wall, finish drywall and painted, replaced ceiling and lights and added shelving to the room. This will help accommodated large prop access to the stage and give easier access to costumes and smaller props.
