RUSSELL — The Eisenhower girls basketball team saw its Region 3 record drop to 7-6 Monday night after falling to Union City 49-41.
Clara Steinberg led the Knights with 18 points, but the hosts had trouble finding their rhythm early as they battled to stay even with the Bears. The first half ended with the score knotted at 23-23.
Union City was patient in working for its shots and slowly pulled away, leading, 35-32 as the fourth quarter began. The Bears held Eisenhower to just nine points in the fourth quarter, with Steinberg getting seven of them.
Union City’s Ashley Greer led Union City with 18 points.
Eisenhower is back in action today for Senior Night against Clarion Area. Junior varsity tip-off is set for 6 p.m. with varsity game following immediately.

WARREN LOSES
ERIE — The Warren High girls basketball team was on the road to take on a very tough Cathedral Prep Rambler team.
The varsity team was defeated 66-14, and the junior varsity fell 60-9.
Molly Richards and Peyton Hagg were the leading scorers for the Dragons.
The Dragons have two more games this week to end the season. They travel to Erie High today, then end with another away game at McDowell on Thursday.
