Warren golfs at Meadville Invite

A few Warren golfers traveled to play in the Meadville Bulldog Invitational on Monday.

In the field of 83 players, Warren’s Kate Shippee fired a 90, good enough for 19th place. Newcomer Alyssa Reichle ended her day with a 155. The low score of the outing was West Middlesex’s Kate Sowers who shot an impressive 7-under par 65.

“Anytime our kids have the opportunity to play the Country Club of Meadville is a good day. With the District Championships being held there in a few weeks and Kate (Shippee) already in the field, it was great for her to compete here and get some practice on the course,” said Dragon coach Scott Pearson.

Pearson added, “It is also good to get first-year player Alyssa Reichle some more playing time as she will be relied upon heavily next year. She will continue to improve, and these experiences will only help her in the long run.”

Warren’s next event is on Wednesday when it will travel to Union City to compete in the Bear Cup Championship.

Starting at $3.50/week.
