Warren swim and dive ready for districts
The Warren boys and girls swimming and diving team is gearing up for their upcoming District 10 championships.
The diving championships, hosted at McDowell on Friday and Saturday will feature three Dragons in the 1-meter dive: Gracie Page, Kelsey Johnson and Levi Peterson.
The swimming championships will be the following week held at the SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio from Feb. 27-28.
The Dragons will have girls competing in the following events: Adelaide Keeports, Lucy Harrison, Jennifer Koppenhafer and Emma Peterson in the 200 medley relay, Emma Peterson in the 200 freestyle, Harrison in the 50 freestyle, Gracie Page in diving, Emma Peterson in the 500 freestyle, and Harrison in the 100 backstroke.
The boys will have Trey Retterer in the 50 freestyle, Levi Peterson in the 500 freestyle, and Trey Retterer and Jacob Retterer in the 100 backstroke.
“Our team is ready for the D10 championship,” said head coach Brandon Gregg. “We will be representing the best of the Warren Dragons in diving, sprints and long distance. We have athletes from every grade ready to roast the competition with a laser focus on a couple of spots for the state competition at Bucknell University in March.”
