WARREN — Warren fell to the Corry Beavers 47-0 in their home opener at War Memorial Field on Friday night.
The Beavers scored on their first touch of the ball when they forced Warren to punt on its first possession and Blake Cook returned that punt 94 yards for a score.
Unfortunately for the Dragons, Corry never looked back from its ideal start. Corry’s defensive line held firm the entire game and managed to shut out the Dragons.
Warren managed to get into Beaver territory on multiple accounts, but could not make it into the end zone.
Corry made quick work of its offensive possessions and was leading 40-0 at halftime.
The second half saw a lone Corry touchdown with a successful extra point.
Warren is back on the road next Friday when it takes on the Franklin Knights for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
