RUSSELL — The Eisenhower softball welcomed Iroquois to Werner Park on Wednesday, and saw its two-game winning streak come to an end, falling to the Braves 7-3.

The Knights found themselves down 4-0 before they put a run across the plate in the bottom of the second inning when Tracey Jakubczak drove in a run.

Iroquois came right back and pushed two runs across in the top of the third inning, but the Knights added another run when Abbie Darr hit a triple to deep right-center field to cut the lead to 7-3 in the fifth inning. In the sixth inning, Eisenhower left the bases loaded.

The Knights were led by Nikita Nelson and Jakubczak (triple), who each went 2-for-3.

Darr went the distance for Eisenhower. The right-hander allowed eight hits and four earned runs. She had two strikeouts and walked two batters.
