McDowell routs Lady Dragons in Region 7
ERIE — McDowell outscored Warren’s girls basketball team in every quarter and defeated the Dragons 69-34 on Monday in a Region 7 game at McDowell Intermediate High School.
The Trojans made 12 3-pointers, including seven from Leah Major (five in the fourth quarter), and McDowell improved to 1-2 in the region.
Warren (0-3 in Region 7) had 8 points apiece from Alana Stuart and Peyton Hagg.
“When it comes to region play, we have to execute the game plan and play as a team for 32 minutes,” said Warren coach Jenny Phillips. “We came out flat. Their defensive pressure got to us and we had a very difficult time scoring. Our defense just wasn’t there tonight and we struggled all over the place.”
