LAKEWOOD, N.Y. — Juan Torres shot a 37 to lead the Youngsville Senior League at Maplehurst Country Club.

Jon Steffan fired a 40, while John Blum and Al Kuzminski had 41s.

Torres’ 30 led the net scores. Bob Saunders and Steffan had 32s. Nick Archuleta, Joe Cerrie, Bill Kibbey and Doc Young had 33s.

Bubs Smith eagled No. 6. Blum, Kuzminski, Steffan, Torres, Fred Carder, Pete Hofert and Rod Korbar each made a birdie. Blum was closest to the pin with his second shot at No. 5.

WARREN — Skete Williams and Doug Johnson combined for 21 points to lead the Stableford League at Jackson Valley Golf Course.

Neal Kent and Jay Loomis had 20 points, John Lipthard and Jason Rafalski had 19 points, and Joe Saber and Mickey Caldwell had 18 points.

From the White tees, Rafalski, Williams, Mason Burch, Jesse McMichael and Tim Munksgard each had 11 points.

From the Gold tees, Chet Loomis accumulated 13 points. Mark Silvis had 11 points, while Loomis, Jeff Flanders, Caldwell and Johnson each had 10 points.

WARREN — Sons of the Legion won the first-half title with 245 points during the Tuesday Night League at Jackson Valley Golf Course.

Strong Spine Chiropractic was second with 239.5 points, followed by Shaw House (236.5), Patty Whackers (235) and R.E. Baker and Sons Inc. (234).

Denny Holcomb accumulated the most points for the week with 9.5, while Jesse McMichael, Matt Johnson and Patrick Henry each had 8.

On the front nine, McMichael had the low gross with a 31, while Owen Becker led on the back nine with a 36. Among the seniors, Mickey Caldwell led the front nine with a 33 and Terry Ressler led the back nine with a 37.

Johnson’s net 33 led the front nine and Ross Bevevino’s 32 led the back nine. For the seniors, Ron Boekeloo led the front nine with a 31, while Fred Franklin and Steve Selan both had 33s on the back nine.

RUSSELL — Huber Blacktop won the Senior League’s Midseason Tournament at Cable Hollow Golf Course with a net 26.

Members of the winning team were: Art Ward, Bill Hargenrader, Don Deppen and Curt Briggs.

Cable Hollow Golf — Dave Gayton, Tim Mack, Paul Edson and Wayne Nasman — was second with a net 27.
