It started with returning first-team region all-star Adika Fiscus at 114 pounds.

“Adika Fiscus looked sharp,” said Warren coach Garrett Smead. “It’s great having him start the match off for us and getting the team’s adrenaline running right off the bat.

“Ryan Fitzsimmons, although receiving a forfeit on senior night, showed great leadership and composure, and set an example for the younger guys on the team,” said Smead of the 1-1 Dragons. “Trey Carrington and Ethen Ringer are exciting freshmen to watch at 127 and 138. I can’t wait to see how they develop through their careers. Damien Sanchez at 189 performed to the standard we set, going out, scoring points, and putting bonus points on the board for the team. And, at 215, Joseph Krall showed grit in his win by fall.”

Carrington took down and pinned his opponent in under a minute as the Dragons never trailed in the match, going up 24-6.

After a Union City pin, Ringer was up 7-1 and flattened his opponent in just over a minute.

Sanchez and Krall earned second-period pins to ensure the team win.

“Also great work by Colby Zinger and Landon Nelson with outstanding performances in their JV matches tonight,” said Smead.
