Goldstar Athletics is putting together a fall travel baseball team to play in the 16U and/or 18U Western New York Boys of Summer League in September and October.

Games will be played on Sundays with one or two practices per week, including the use of the Goldstar Athletics indoor facility in Falconer, New York.

There is also the possibility of signing up for tournaments.

Players cannot turn 19 before May 1, 2024.

Shane Marucci will be the team’s head coach. He is a former college coach and a current hitting instructor at Goldstar Athletics. The assistant coach is Mike Sheesley, a former college player and current high school coach.

Tryouts will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. on the Fireman’s Field turf in Lakewood, New York. If planning to attend, RSVP at maruccicoach@gmail.com.

Diamond Dawgs Baseball will hold tryouts for next season’s 9U team at 5 p.m. Friday at Willis Hale Town Park in Frewsburg, New York.

Players cannot turn 10 prior to April 30, 2024 to play on the team.
