Tarp Skunks fall to Geneva 6-3

GENEVA — Wyatt Pachett drilled a two-run home run, Danny Rogers added an RBI double and Cooper Loyal collected a pair of hits to lead Geneva to a 6-3 victory over Jamestown in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game at McDonough Park on Sunday.

The Red Wings (3-6) scored two runs in each of the second, third and fourth innings and were the beneficiaries of four Tarp Skunks’ errors, which led to four unearned runs.

Devin Georgetti (1-0) was the winning pitcher in relief. Joey Kasper worked the ninth inning for his second save.

For Jamestown (6-4-1), Jake Kernodle belted a solo home run, Aiden Dunlap added an RBI double and Ryan Mittelman also had a double. Frank Villella (1-1) took the loss.

Jamestown is off today and Tuesday. It returns to action Wednesday when it entertains Batavia at 6:30 p.m.
