GROVE CITY — Warren sophomore Adika Fiscus — seeded eighth at 107 pounds — ended up in fourth place Saturday at the Fred Bell Wrestling Tournament at Grove City Area High School.

“Adika continues to reap the benefits of his quality offseason work,” said Warren coach Glenn Baldensperger. “He went 5-2, taking fourth out of a 32-man bracket after being seeded eighth.”

Prior to a pin at the hands of Cochranton’s Kyle Lantz in the third-place match, Fiscus earned wins via pin in the rounds of 32 and 16. He lost in the quarterfinals by major decision to Northwestern’s second-seeded Sierra Chiesa. Fiscus won three consolation matches to advance to the third-place match — a 3-1 sudden victory over Williamsport’s Collin Nasdeo, 4-0 over Titusville’s Sawyer Wolfkiel, and a 16-0 technical fall over Curwensville’s Austin Gilliland.

“I’m pretty happy with our efforts this weekend,” said Baldensperger.

Damien Sanchez finished 3-2 at 172 pounds, Jordan Tuttle 2-2 at 145 pounds and Grant Heeter 2-2 at 152 pounds.

“Ryan Fitzsimmons, Connor Zaffino, Evan Swanson and Joe Krall were all 1-2,” said Baldensperger. “The Dragons have five duals left as we push towards the postseason.”
