BROOKVILLE — Parks Ordiway hit five 3-pointers and finished with 25 points in Warren’s 75-45 win over Union on Saturday to capture the Brookville Tip-Off Tournament.
Ordiway, Brady Berdine (10 points, nine assists and eight rebounds) and point guard Tommy Nyquist (12 points and four assists) were named to the all-tourney team and the Dragons improve to 2-0. Braylon Barnes also contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds as four Dragons scored in double figures and eight in all.
“We overcame a slow start with a big 18-0 run to help put them on their heels,” said Warren coach Jeff Berdine. “We didn’t shoot it nearly as well as we did on Friday night in the first game as we were about 18% from ‘3’ with a lot of those looks being wide open. We had talked about trying to be very aggressive pushing the ball off of their misses if they came out in the zone. Once we got into that mindset, and got out in transition, that really broke the game open.”
Konnor Hoffman had three steals on defense for Warren (2-0), which hosts Bradford on Tuesday.
