Tough night

Corry takes down Eisenhower wrestling 68-6

RUSSELL — It was a tough first night for the Eisenhower wrestlers as they played host to Corry and lost 68-6 at home.

Corry put on a clinic as it won almost every match by pin except for one.

The lone winner for the Knights was junior Tucker Lindell at 160 pounds. He got a first-period pin against Cody Proper.

The most entertaining match was at 189 pounds as Eisenhower senior Benji Bauer battled Ethan Allen. Bauer took last season off from wrestling and is quickly getting in wrestling shape.

“We got off to a late start with a lot of wrestlers busy with our football team during their postseason run,” Eisenhower head coach Jared Lindell said. “We got this one under our belts. We’ll get back on the mats tomorrow and keep working.”
