Warren is 13-5-3 overall after a 3-0 sweep of Cathedral Prep on Tuesday at Warren Area High School.

In a 25-18, 25-18, 25-12 victory, Maddy Jones led with nine kills; Carly Beers had eight kills and two aces; Alexia Bowers seven kills and three aces, middle-hitter Kylie Fehlman four kills and two blocks; and Kirsten Johnson three kills and five service points. Lindsay Madigan set them up with 31 assists and she added five aces, and Summer Lucks contributed 19 digs in the win.

“I thought our outside hitters, Maddy and Alexia, played well,” said Warren coach Mike Dolan. “They both took some effective swings. Our blocking and back row defense did a nice job as well. Lastly, serving was key especially in the last two sets. Lindsay and Kirsten had nice runs behind the line.”

In the junior varsity match prior to varsity — also a sweep 25-13, 25-13 — Lily Walker finished with 10 aces and three digs. Lilly Newton led in kills with six and a block, and Maddie Nosel added five kills. Delaney Wright had eight assists and three aces, Elissa Errett five assists, and Sophie Walker three aces and five digs in the win.
