JCC women lose 3-0
ELMA, N.Y. — In their first game of the season, the Jamestown Community College women’s soccer team fell to Region 3 opponent Finger Lakes CC by a score of 3-0 Wednesday afternoon at Sahlen’s Sports Park.
The Jayhawks (0-1, 0-1 Region 3) saw plenty of opportunities to get the ball in the net, ripping six shots on goal. Sophomore forward Holland Isaacson (Jamestown, N.Y./Jamestown High) led the way with three shots on goal with freshman forward Brynne Conley (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) getting off two shots.
Freshman goalkeeper Jolize Beukman (Centrurion, Gauteng, South Africa/Hoerskool Zwartkop) went the distance in net, making 10 saves in her collegiate debut.
The Jayhawks will be off until next Wednesday when they travel to No. 5 Genesee CC for a 4 p.m. start.
