Warren County Special Olympics held at War Memorial

WARREN — The Warren County Special Olympics were held June 8 at War Memorial Field.

Jeremy Sensenig Jr. took first in the 800 meters and Keith Holden won the 400 meters.

In the 400-meter walk, Conner Campbell was first in Heat 1 and Eric Irons was second. In Heat 2, Kyle Fortman was first and Justin Allen was second.

Colton Ristau won the 100-meter dash.

In the women’s 400 meters, Julie Gregg was first and Kaylee Turner was second.

In the women’s 400-meter walk Heat 1, Kayla Smith was first and MaryAnn Lindell was second. In Heat 2, Samantha Miller was first, Jennifer Kersey was second and Brenda Huya was third. In Heat 3, Heidi Venal was first and Pray Khare was second.

In the 100-meter walk, Kelsey Sutton was first in Heat 1 and Shirley Petko was first in Heat 2.

In the softball throw, Smith was first and Sutton was second.

Miller won the shot put followed by Venal and Petko.

Other first-place winners included: Turner, Lindell, Fortman, Sensenig Jr., Holden, Irons and Ristau. Second-place finishers included: Julie Gregg, Khare, Conner Campbell and Allen. Huya, Kersey and Cross earned third-place finishes.

In the turbo javelin, Venal, Turner, Gregg, Lindell, Sutton, Sensenig, Fortman, Irons, Allen and Ristau finished first. Miller, Petko, Smith, Kersey, Campbell, Cross and Holden were second. Huya and Khare took third.

In the running jump, Campbell and Irons took first while Sensenig and Cross were second.

Venal, Smith, Kersey, Campbell, Irons, Holden and Allen took first in the standing jump. Huya, Miller, Gregg, Sutton, Sensenig, Cross, Fortman and Ristau took second. Turner and Khare were third while Petko and Lindell were fourth.
