No less than 24 Warren track and field athletes have qualified for today’s District 10 Championships at Slippery Rock University.

A lot of opportunity to make things happen.

“Our goals are to come away with as many personal bests and district medals as possible,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin. “We also hope to qualify some athletes to compete next week at the state meet. We have a few individuals and relays that, if they have a good day, are in the conversation for going to states. We have had a great season and want to see everyone go after their events tomorrow and compete. They are among the best in District 10 and earned their right to show it tomorrow.”

Warren qualifiers in Class 3A include: Ethan Best, 110-meter hurdles and 300 hurdles; Ben White, 100 and 200; Ricky Madril, 300 hurdles; Corban Reinard, 800; Graham Carr, 800; Hugh Harrison, 3,200; Sam Lindell, 3,200; the 4×800 relay team of Harrison, Lindell, Reinard and Carr; 4×100 relay team of Arick Allen, Cayden Wright, Best and White; and 4×400 relay team of Best, Carr, White and Madril.

The Lady Dragons qualifying in the Class 2A meet include: Marissa Gourley, 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles; Alexia Bowers, 300 hurdles; Laney Gatto, 100 and 200; Shyann Rulander, 1,600 and 3,200; Katie Beyer, 800 and 1600; Lindsay Madigan, 400, triple jump and long jump; Morgan Poole, triple jump; Gracie Gatto, 400; Charlotte Keeports, 1,600; Sophie Olson; discus; the 4×800 team of Sophie Walker, Kirsten Johnson, Mackenzie Lester and Charlotte Keeports; 4×100 relay of Gracie Gatto, Laney Gatto, Gourley and Madigan; and 4×400 relay of Bowers, Gracie Gatto, Beyer and Walker.
