Warren softball is 12-3 after a 9-2 win on Tuesday over visiting Elk County Catholic at Lady Dragons Field.

Warren batted around in the bottom of the first, scoring four runs on consecutive doubles by Alix Lytle, Carly Beers and Kylie Fehlman.

“I like when we jump right in offensively,” said Warren coach Carissa Stuart. “Pitchers are too good to not take advantage of every strike. Emily Davidson and Lilly Devore stepped up big tonight. Kylie Fehlman again hit the ball very well. Big game Thursday — we need to win it.”

The Lady Dragons, coming off an 11-hit attack, travel to Conneaut on Thursday for a Region 5 showdown.

On Tuesday, Lytle, Beers and Fehlman had two hits each, and Alana Stuart struck out eight in the win.
