Warren falls at DuBois

DUBOIS — Warren’s baseball team lost its third straight on Saturday at DuBois and second by a score of 18-3.

After a season-opening walk-off win at home against Erie High, Warren pitchers have had trouble finding the strike zone to fall to 1-3 overall. DuBois, out of District 9, is 3-1 overall.

“Same story as Wednesday,” said first-year head coach Andrew Morrison. “We walked too many people and they made us pay for it. DuBois is a great team, but we gave them way too much.”

Three Dragon pitchers walked 13 in three innings without registering a strikeout. The only thing that slowed DuBois up any more was a first-inning snow delay.

JT Blum had two of Warren’s four hits in the three-inning loss.

“Two big games Monday and Wednesday with General McLane and Fort LeBoeuf,” said Morrison. “We will be ready for those.”

Luke Becker and Gio Elinsky had two hits each for Warren in a 16-6 junior varsity loss.

Starting at $3.50/week.
