Dolphins’ Frederes claims state title

YORK — Warren YMCA’s Dolphins Swim Team swam at the YMCA state championships March 24-26.
Swimming in the Boys 11-12 Division, Landon Frederes won a state title in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.49.
Landon Frederes also took second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:12.13), third in the 50-yard backstroke (28.82), 11th in the 100-yard individual medley (1:06.51), 13th in the 50-yard freestyle (25.73), 14th in the 100-yard freestyle (56.66) and 14th in the 200-yard individual medley (2:26.90).
Swimming in the Boys 13-14 Division, Drake Niemetz was 11th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.62), 12th in the 400-yard individual medley (4:51.91), 13th in the 200-yard individual medley (2:12.12) and 13th in the 50-yard freestyle (24.05).
Sydney Frederes finished 15th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:32.11) swimming in the Girls 10 & Under Division.

Levi Peterson, Karsen Frederes, Connor Smith and Trey Retterer were 16th in the Boys 10 & Under 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:19.36.
