The Penn York Winter Trap League met Sunday for the last shoot of the season at Pine Grove Gun Club with 79 shooters present.

The Relief Zone golf tournament

FREWSBURG, N.Y. — The Relief Zone will be hosting its annual golf tournament Saturday, May 14 at Blueberry Hill Golf Course in Russell, Pennsylvania.

Interested participants can register online at www.thereliefzone.org or can call TRZ at 716-569-2614. The cost is $300 per four-person team with prizes for first- and second-place teams. The fee also covers a chicken dinner which will be available for take home.

Registration for Backyard Curling leagues

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Northwest Arena has begun registrations for the Short-Season Backyard Curling leagues for the 2022 spring season beginning March 21 and running through April 25.

League spots are still available for Monday at 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Each league is comprised of four-person teams with an entry fee of $180 per team.

Adapted for the Northwest Arena, backyard curling can be played with the traditional slide technique or by using a curling stick similar to shuffleboard. No brooming is needed. Leagues are open to beginners and returners as lessons and practices can be reserved.
