Knights edge Eagles in volleyball

Just last week, Youngsville pulled off a 3-1 victory over Eisenhower in girls volleyball.

Tuesday night, the scores flipped as the Knights beat the Eagles 3-1.

“We have a habit of starting off flat and we don’t know how to get out of it,” Youngsville head coach Hannah Bulard said. “It’s something we need to work on as a team.”

Eisenhower took the first and second sets 25-14 and 25-19 with a huge serving game from Rayna Hultman. The Eagles won the third set 25-12 and the fourth set looked to be in favor of the Eagles as well, but late mistakes allowed the Knights to finish out the game 28-26.

“Olivia Darling played a phenomenal game at the net, with nine kills and two great blocks,” Bulard said. “It was fun to watch her play tonight. She led the momentum for our team tonight in the third and fourth set.”

Youngsville won the jayvee match in three sets after dropping the first 19-25 to the Knights. The Eagles then won the second and third sets 25-15 and 19-17.

Starting at $4.00/week.
