Ike’s Hummel medals at Rocket Invite

Submitted Photo Beaty Warren’s junior high girls cross country team took first place at the Rocket Invitational on Saturday in Titusville. There were 97 middle school girls from nearly 20 teams. From left are Lorelei Johnson, Emma Peterson, Lauren Fajbik, Lilly Newton, Morgan Alexander and Lucy Harrison. Absent from photo are Jahzara Hunter and Brady Caudill. Newton was second overall, Alexander fourth, Fajbik 10th, Harrison 15th, Peterson 35th and Johnson 41st.

TITUSVILLE — Eisenhower’s Alex Hummel finished in a medal position with a 23rd-place finish in 18:09 at the Titusville Rocket Invitational on Saturday.

Madison Cathcart was the top girls finisher for the Knights in 52nd with a time of 23:35. Alyssa Wismar was just behind in 55th at 23:49.

Joseph Mistretta was 71st for the boys in 20:07, Griffin Williams was 83rd (21:39) and Nathan Hanson was 99th (24:04).

Chloe Lasecki was 81st for the girls (26:50), Gracie Anthony was 88th (26.50), Peyton Kellogg was 94th (28:06), Brooke Andersen was 101st (29:04) and Kendra Chase was 106th (31:16).

Kierra Wismar was ninth in the junior high girls race with a time of 11:21 to earn a medal. Bryn Lindell was 27th (12:01), Isabelle Grosch was 29th (12:02) and Autumn Howick was 87th (16:40).

Max Enos earned a medal in the junior high boys race with a 22nd-place finish in 10:30. Bryceton Wilkins was 37th (10:59), Michael Palmieri was 50th (11:25) and Trenton Courtney was 63rd (12:21).
