ERIE, Pa. — Matt Johnson and Marlene Sandberg defeated Tom Maley and Amy Porter, 11-9, 4-11, 12-10 to take home the open mixed doubles pickleball title at Westwood Racquet Club in Erie this past weekend.

In 3.5 mixed doubles Rick Englebert and Michele Ognibene were 11-2, 11-7 winners over Jon Cable and Becky Cable; while Dale Hall and Becky Pesansky took the bronze match.

Jehad Ali and Bryan Minicucci topped Tom Pakulski and Oto Hilincik 11-7, 11-9 to take the gold in men’s open doubles while Johnson and Jason Santerre took bronze.

Kyle Thomas and Jeff Thomas topped Cable and Samm LaPorte, 11-7, 11-4 to win the men’s 3.5 doubles and Englebert and Andrew Nasuta took the bronze.

Valerie Thomas and Tara Thomas topped Ognibene and Becky Cable 11-2, 11-7 to win gold in women’s doubles and Karen Daddario and Amy Porter took bronze.
