Hugh Harrison made history Tuesday.

The freshman from Warren Area High School posted a winning time of 56.04 in the 100 butterfly to set a new Dragon record, breaking the old mark held by Aaron Atkins (56.27), which was set in 1997.

Competing against Cathedral Prep, Harrison also won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:08.29. As a team, the Warren boys fell, 133-48.

Harrison wasn’t the only headliner among the Dragons’ contingent.

Junior Katie Beyer doubled in the 100 freestyle (54:06) and the 200 freestyle (1:58.83) in the girls meet, which was won by Villa Maria, 119-50. Teammate Katie Madigan, also a junior, captured diving (234.82 points).
