Lady Lions stay unbeaten with sweep of TCCS

The Warren County Christian School Lady Lions moved their overall record to 4-0 on the year with a three-game sweep of Tidioute Charter on Monday.

The Lady Lions won 25-17, 25-20 and 25-23 behind a 14-kill effort from senior middle hitter Allison Weidner, who also added a pair of blocks and one ace. Rachel Brenner added six kills, four aces and seven digs while setter Desirae Kerr finished with 12 assists to go along with two blocks, two aces and 14 service points.

“They had moments where they looked really good and moments that were a little sloppy,” said WCCS coach Monica Kerr of her team’s performance against the Lady Bulldogs. “Overall I’m happy with they way they played. They’re getting more aggressive at the net with their hitting, but you have to have precision or you’re going to make errors.”

Lydia Cox finished with eight service points, five digs and one kill, Rebekah Erdman had six assists, two aces and four digs, Emma Marino had a kill and an ace, and Allie Marino chipped in one block.

For Tidioute, Hanna Divido had six digs and two aces, Nettie Durstine had one ace and two kills, Corinn Pastor had an ace, three assists and two digs, Greysen Fors had four digs, Brooke Martin had one ace, one kill and three digs, and Nakiesha Krouse had three aces, one kill and five digs.
