Beaty wins thrillerThe Beaty eighth grade football team ended their season on a high note, defeating J.S. Wilson (McDowell) 16-14 on Wednesday.The Dragons' win was an exciting one. J.S. Wilson went ahead with 1:58 remaining thanks to a double pass. The Rams led 14-8 after the PAT.After the Dragons returned the kickoff to the Ram 35, Warren quarterback Alex Borger went to work. Borger hit James Swanson with three consecutive passes, totaling 58 yards to get the ball to the Ram 7 yard line. WAHS football heat acclimatization2016 Warren Dragon Heat Acclimatization Practice will begin Monday, August 8th, at War Memorial Field beginning at 5 p.m. and running until 8 p.m. All football players in grades nine through 12 are required to complete this five-day training period in order to be eligible to participate in contact drills on Monday, August 15. Equipment will be distributed on Monday, August 8. All athletes are to wear a plane white t-shirt, shorts (navy blue or black) and football cleats. Sheffield hoopsThe Sheffield junior high girls basketball team will begin practice on Tuesday, August 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the high school. Practice schedules are available at the high school office, and will also be distributed at practice.Student-athletes must have a physical, and have completed all portions of the student-athlete physical packet upon arrival to the first practice.
