Our opinion: Help Warren Gives cause today

The 12th annual Warren Gives takes place today.

It’s an opportunity to raise awareness of the county’s non-profits and encourage new donors. There are two ways to donate – online at warrengves.com from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. while checks are accepted at the Community Foundation of Warren County, with donors able to complete a check form to designate the organizations that should receive a piece of the check donation. Check donations are accepted through Monday.

“The goal of Warren Gives is twofold,” Mark King, executive director of the Community Foundation of Warren County, said. “One, to raise awareness of all the fantastic non-profits serving Warren County and, two, to encourage new giving. We really want people to connect beyond their traditional donor base.”

There are more than 100 organizations participating in Wednesday’s fundraising event. That means there is a wide variety of needs your donation can help satisfy from EMT training to food donations to a local high school’s booster program.

If you’ve donated to Warren Gives in the past, consider doing so again today. If you haven’t donated in the past, consider doing so. Warren Gives has grown exponentially since its inception. On Wednesday, we can make Warren Gives 2024 the best – and most impactful – of them all.
