Thumbs up to the continued collaboration between Experience Inc. and Gaughn’s Drug Store to make sure as many senior citizens as possible in Warren County have access to the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot.

Last week, Gaughn’s started COVID booster clinics with the Moderna vaccine Thursdays at the Allegheny Community Center.

The plan was to have 300 reservations for the Thursday clinics each Thursday, with the ability to add more clinics if there is enough interest.

Gaughn’s has vaccinations available at its store as well as boosters in the store for Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and the Pfizer vaccines.

The outreach collaboration with Experience Inc. is especially needed, however, because sometimes the time at a senior center is the only trip, or one of the few trips, some seniors make each week.

This is a partnership of which both Gaughn’s and Experience Inc. should be proud.
