Our Opinion: Butt out

Members of Congress expected to begin debating a new plan to repeal and replace the Obamacare health insurance fiasco are being warned that may violate international law.

Seriously. A United Nations functionary said so, in a letter to the U.S. State Department.

Dainius Puras, who is “special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health,” signed the letter. It came from the U.N. high commissioner on human rights, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Repealing the Affordable Care Act could violate international agreements, the U.N. official cautioned.

Yes, this is the same U.N. that sides with terrorists, that does nothing when its “peacekeeping” troops rape women in Africa, that excuses any number of rogue nations … We could go on. But you know about the U.N.

Obamacare is the subject of severe disagreements among Americans. But we’ll bet most, whether they want the law changed or not, would agree on a reaction to the U.N.:

Butt out.
