Promising path

It’s sadly amazing that foreign criminals and corrupt judges can become folk heroes to some.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a Salvadoran national, falsely labeled a “Maryland man” by his defenders. His wife filed two restraining orders against him for physical violence against

her and his stepchildren. He was stopped by Tennessee police for speeding and an expired license. Police noted he had at least six passengers, all without luggage.This seemed strange for a drive from Texas to Maryland. “Human trafficking” was suspected, but not charged. Garcia may well be connected to the gang MS-13. He has ignored deportation orders.

Garcia was deported to El Salvador. Liberal Sen. Chris Van Hollen flew — at taxpayer expense — to visit him. He, among others, wants him returned to the United States as though his absence diminishes American quality of life.

Then there is Algerian Mahmoud Khalil. At this writing,he remains in ICE detention awaiting deportation. He was at Columbia University in New York City on a student visa. He was the face of anti-Israeli demonstrations. He and his followers blocked traffic, illegally occupied buildings and threatened outnumbered Jewish students who were merely trying to get to class. On social media, Khalil supported the heinous attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

His “fans” insist he be released and sent back to New York City. One wonders why this morally challenged man is 30 years old and still in school. You can make the case for an advanced degree or research. His “major” seems to be persecuting Jews with large groups whose members would be far less “brave” as individuals.

Then consider Judge Hannah Dugan of Wisconsin. She was presiding over the case of Eduardo Flores, an illegal immigrant. Flores was in court over complaints of aggravated assault: striking a roommate 30 times after a quarrel, striking the roommate’s girlfriend and attacking a third party who attempted to “make peace.” When Dugan learned that ICE agents were nearby intending to arrest Flores, she enabled Flores to sneak out of a jury room exit door. ICE got him anyway.

The judge was arrested by federal authorities.Still, several dozen protested her arrest; one woman declared Dugan to be a “hero.”

Trump’s attackers continue to falsely label him an oligarch, a dictator or the reincarnation of Hitler. The “convicted felon” label is the result of a sham trial. Legal experts, John

Yoo among them, says the Supreme Court could strike that contrived label down. These are sophomoric, name-calling rants that never logically defend the record of Joe Biden and associates;that record is a true national nightmare. That said, we hope the former president’s cancer can be controlled.

Meanwhile, what has President Trump been up to? Securing the border, deporting foreign criminals, restoring safety to shipping by attacking the Houthis, working to reduce trade deficits, securing investment for American industry, penalizing colleges that tolerate anti-Semitism, defending women’s sports from biological males, etc., etc.

That’s America First.

Results, not words, matter

Dear Editor,

Almost daily we see and hear nothing but fear mongering, volatile and gross language from many socialist-democrats representing a party that has lost its bearings. Some members of the party want illegals who pillage and kill to remain here. Party officials stormed an ICE detention center protesting detainment. They could have gone in legally but instead chose to grandstand the situation. Where is the compassion and decency for American citizens, afraid to live in their own country because illegal immigrants chose to try taking it over?

President Joe Biden purposely broke the border; he could have fixed it but allowed it to remain open. President Donald Trump has been entrusted to fix what the former president broke. Dems should quit bellyaching and remember that it was Biden who enabled millions of undocumented people to enter our country illegally; the consequences of that action may tarnish his presidential legacy and haunt us for many years.

The left wants to be heard, but why should anyone want to listen? The lies and innuendos they continue to throw out along with the media has turned off common sense Americans. Their hypocritical finger pointing about the demise of democracy just proves their indifference to the needs and wants of Americans. Ideas for anything better are never forthcoming, just complaints about whatever is being done to aid the average citizen working to enjoy the American dream.

The cover up of Biden’s health is now being shared by those who worked for him and who denied his health problems at the same time we could visibly see his decline. It stands to reason they knew this before November 2020, and somehow “lied” Biden into the White House. In the past few days we have learned about Biden’s cancer diagnosis and prayerfully hope his treatments are successful.

It is conceivable he was sick some time before this diagnosis was disclosed, but with the track record of the socialist-dems in sharing the truth about anything, one wonders when he really learned of his condition. All the misrepresentation that has occurred surrounding Biden just proves the dems care nothing about this country; allowing an unhealthy man to reign at the helm was extremely careless and dangerous for the country. To make matters worse, they were going to run him again as the democrat candidate. It appears their mantra is “anything goes to gain and keep power over the masses.”

We can be thankful the person or persons who really ran the country didn’t get another chance to use Biden as a puppet president, an elderly man whose mind and body are impaired. Did anyone really care about his welfare and wellbeing? Family, friends, and the media have a lot to ponder about what happened to him and the country during this sham presidency.

DOGE is trying to help rid this nation of fraud and waste because no country can survive when indebtedness is greater than productivity. We need debt reduction and manufacturing growth, both of which the Trump administration is trying to bring about in this country. The federal government is getting too large. Thanks to earlier administrations able bodied people were added to subsidized government roles like Medicaid; they have no desire to become part of the labor force yet want to receive these funds. Ridding Medicaid of transgender operations and funding illegal immigrants will free more money for those who have been designated lawful recipients of this health care.

No wonder our welfare system needs adjustments! Are the democrats concerned that this group of dedicated men may find things they would not like to have divulged? Let the chips fall where they may, no matter what is revealed.
