‘Rigged’ response

Dear Editor,

Regarding Donald Trump’s philosophy: When Trump wins, there was nothing “rigged; when Trump loses, something was “rigged.”

Troubling ‘progress’

Dear Editor,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent statement made at the Democratic National Committee’s event and the opening of the Erin Willman and Warren Democratic Committee Headquarters, which promotes an idealistic vision of the future under Kamala Harris. While the message focuses on themes of “progress” and unity, it starkly ignores the pressing realities that our nation is grappling with under the current administration’s policies.

— Rampant inflation: The claim of building a future that “works for everyone” feels out of touch with the struggles that many Americans face daily. Under this administration, inflation has skyrocketed, leading to a drastic increase in the cost of living. From groceries to gas, working families are watching their purchasing power dwindle. While wages remain stagnant, lower- income households are bearing the brunt of this economic crisis. The Democratic Party claims to stand for the working class, yet their policies seem to leave everyday Americans worse off.

— Border crisis and illegal immigration: Kamala Harris, touted as a leader who understands the plight of the middle class, has been tasked with addressing the border crisis, and the results speak for themselves. Illegal immigration has surged, leading to a strain on public resources, increasing costs for local communities, and rising crime rates. Despite being entrusted with finding a solution, Harris has allowed this crisis to spiral out of control, leaving our borders vulnerable and our citizens unprotected.

— Crimes and murders: The claim that “leaders tell the truth” falls flat when we look at the rising tide of violent crime sweeping across the nation. Weak policies on law enforcement, coupled with the open-border stance, have contributed to a marked increase in murders, drug trafficking, and human trafficking. In many instances, these crimes are perpetrated by individuals who have entered the country illegally — a fact that Democratic leaders seem to ignore. Our communities are suffering, yet this administration continues to sidestep the issue.

To assert that we are “moving forward” under Kamala Harris’s leadership is to ignore the harsh realities confronting our country. The facts are clear: inflation is crippling Americans’ finances, crime is on the rise, and our borders are more vulnerable than ever. The very “progress” being celebrated is, in truth, leaving our nation worse off.

Division isn’t unity

Dear Editor,

Campaign messages for Kamala Harris claim she is for “hope over fear,” “truth over lies” and “unity over division.”

But fear is a result of this administration. The weakening of our border has allowed, counting “gotaways,” around 10 million illegals in. Some have committed murders, rapes and assaults.250,000 Americans have died from fentenyl. Tax dollars go

to accommodate illegals while citizens are ravaged by inflation. FBI director Christopher Wray told senators, “We are seeing a wide array of very dangerous threats that emanate from the border” and recognizing anti-American threats that he sees “blinking lights everywhere”.

Emboldened by the Biden-Harris weaknesses, Putin invaded Ukraine and Hamas attacked Israel. “Frozen” Iranian assets were released, allowing Iran to fund terrorism. An example is Houthi disruption of shipping in the Red Sea. Putin said he prefers Harris to Trump. Joe Biden-Harris have allowed fear and danger to spread.

As for lies, Biden said he knew nothing about son Hunter’s businesses. That was revised to claim he wasn’t involved. Then he revealed Hunter’s imposing phone calls to business partners informing them that his dad is right beside him.

Biden claimed no military died during his term, an insult to the families of the 13 that died in the Afghanistan withdrawal. Biden, Harris and Alejandro Mayorkas denied the border was open, though it certainly was! Harris was anti-fracking four years ago, denies it now

(to get Pennsylvania votes) and says her values haven’t changed. “Truth over lies” is a lie!

Trump’s opponents started “division.” “Russian Collusion” was created to slander Trump, but was proven without merit in congressional hearings after wasting 22 months and millions of dollars. Participants in the fraudulent Steele Dossier included the Hillary Clinton Campaign, the DNC and some FBI officials. The frivolous impeachment is further evidence as is Nancy Pelosi’s childish tearing up her copy of the State of the Union address.

Trump’s opponents were more interested in increasing division than finding a common ground. We need no disingenuous sermons from Harris on “unity.”

“Lawfare” cases against Trump were timed to interfere with his campaign.

The classified document case was thrown out by a Florida judge. Besides her technical reasons, a double-standard existed. Biden removed such documents after serving as “VP” for eight years and senator for 36. Prosecutor Robert Hur excused him as a “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.” Was he elderly when he left the senate 16 years ago?

John Yoo, law professor and former deputy assistant Attorney General cites the “take care” clause in the constitution. A state official (Alvin Bragg) is prohibited from prosecuting an alleged federal case. Yoo maintains that the Bragg case will be ruled invalid by the Supreme Court. Bragg deviously extended the statute of limitations and transmogrified minor irregularities into felonies. The judge’s daughter heads up a campaign organization for democrats. An unmitigated sham!

Fox should host any future debate.

Voice of reason

Dear Editor,

What do the Warren County voters who support Trump know that the following Republicans do not know?

The majority of Trump’s Cabinet, his Vice President, National Security Advisor, Chief of Staff, W. H. counsel, W. H. aides, a large number of retired military officers, a niece, a nephew, Dick and Liz Cheney, and a slew of traditional Republicans oppose Trump.

What these former Trump insiders know is summarized in their comments: “He’s a danger to democracy,” “he’s unfit to hold office,” “he lies,” “he’s in it for himself,” “he’s a corrupt person,” “he’s a moron,” “he’s a sociopath,” “he’s the too old candidate now,” he’s lazy, not curious, doesn’t understand how government works,” etc. etc.

Local Trump supporters ignore these former Trump insiders, Trump family members, and long time Republicans. The Locals also ignore Trump’s criminal convictions, upcoming court cases, and pending prison sentencing.

Lifelong Republican, 12-year Mesa, Ariz., Mayor John Giles recently spoke at a Harris-Walz political rally. Giles said “I have something to say to those of us in the middle: You don’t owe a damn thing to that Trump Party. And by all means, you owe no displaced loyalty to a candidate that is morally and ethically bankrupt.”

One can access Mayor Giles’ entire speech on YouTube.

Locals ignoring their fellow Republicans’ opinions that Trump is an inept, self centered felon claim they like Trump’s policies. Trump praised Project 2025 before he said he doesn’t know anything about it, though his still loyal ex-advisors are Project 2025’s chief advocates.

One can access Project 2025 online. Project 2025 is an attack on American culture, climate, economy, and democracy. It attacks our underpinning safety net for the lower and middle classes while pursuing cultural war issues. It is no wonder Trump doesn’t want to talk about women’s health issues and how harmful Project 2025 would be for the middle class. He insists on distracting attention to Springfield, Ohio.

Local Trump supporters are ignoring mountains of evidence to maintain what they want to believe.

It appears it’s not about what local Trump supporters know. It is about what local Trump supporters don’t know.
