Save Our Bank

The closing of the Ludlow NWSB branch to walk-ins, in my opinion, is the epitome of corporate greed and ignorance. NWSB will have the same property taxes, the same electric and gas expenses and the same building and property maintenance as before. The only cost savings will be eliminating the ‘people who made the difference’ at Ludlow. With Warren being the birthplace of NWSB they are now allowing greed to triumph over their customer convenience and satisfaction in their own hometown. They are forcing us to utilize drive-thru in two places or try to find a parking place downtown where we usually have to walk a block while paying for it. Imagine walk-in at North Warren where there are only 11 parking places opposed to 22 at Ludlow on a Friday afternoon! Why not just sell the Ludlow building and property and build a little drive-thru somewhere, or just lessen employment there, or eliminate some tellers in town were probably most of the customers drive right past one of the branches anyway? So NWSB eventually will force us to use the drive-thru, talk to a machine, twenty feet away from the ‘people’ who we can barely see through glare in a plate glass window, as we look at our bank notes that say ‘Where People Make The Difference’?
