Brandon E. Troutman

Brandon Edward Troutman, 41, of Kane, Pa and formerly of Sheffield, Pa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa, with his loving family by his side and many lifelong friends near. Brandon was born in Warren, Pa on April 1, 1984, the son of the late Edward Troutman and Marsha Romine. He was a graduate of Sheffield High School, he furthered his education by graduating from WCA school of Radiology in Jamestown, New York. Graduating as a Radiology Technician.

He married Veronica Troutman on June 27, 2020, in Ocean City, Maryland. Brandon was a friend to anyone he encountered. He was a kind and gentle man who had a true heart of gold. He did countless things for the community of Sheffield which he continued when he and his family moved to Kane.

He volunteered for many Sports Boosters events. He was an outstanding well-respected basketball coach for both the Sheffield and the Kane School Districts. During his time as coach in Kane, he and the girls’ basketball team won the 2020 AML Championship. Brandon credited his predecessor Lee Goldthwaite for giving him a chance to prove himself as a coach at the age of 21. In addition to volunteering and coaching, Brandon also refereed at countless games, helped out with many football games, coached T-Ball, participated in countless sports over the years and enjoyed chaperoning his daughters’ school field trips. Additionally, he helped out with the broadcasting of the basketball games on the radio with his good friend Chuck Demko. His passion was for sports and sports writing, which he did for the Warren Times Observer.

Brandon enjoyed grilling, watching the Buffalo Bills “GO BILLS”, Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Penguins. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially on vacation at the beach, golfing, going to concerts, and playing in fantasy football leagues with his childhood best friends.

Brandon’s passing has left a huge void in the hearts of his family, his many dear friends, coworkers and the communities of both Sheffield and Kane. It’s almost certain as he entered the Heavenly gates, that he was greeted by his past loved ones and his Heavenly Father saying well done good and faithful servant. His love, kindness, and infectious smile will live in our hearts forever. Brandon, may you rest in peace.

Left behind to cherish Brandon’s memory are his loving wife, Veronica and his daughters Brooke Campbell and Lilly Troutman, his sons, Jesse Campbell (Amelia), Jake Westerburg (Mia), Justin Westerburg (Danielle) and Ben Westerburg, his grandchildren Esmay, Ely, Jem, Grant, Rian and Jaxson , and a sister, Autume Moe and her children Darren and Haylee.

Brandon was preceded in death by his father Edward Troutman in June 2025, maternal grandparents, Rev. Ralph and Juanita Romine and paternal grandmother Mildred Troutman.

Brandon’s family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, from 1 pm to 3 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm at the Sheffield United Methodist Church, 11 West Main Street, Sheffield, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at the church with Pastor Dave Duell and Pastor Ruth Ann Varotto presiding. Burial will be held privately. Following the service there will be a luncheon held at the Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, 318 South Main Street, Sheffield, PA.
