On Monday night, Magisterial District Judge Raymond F. Zydonik administered the oath of office to three members of the Warren City Council, along with Mayor David Wortman, during an official swearing-in ceremony.

Wortman, as well as council members Maurice Cashman and Jared Villella, took their oaths following their re-election in November 2025. The ceremony formally confirmed the start of their new, four-year terms in office.

The evening also marked a milestone for newly elected council member William Champlin, who was sworn in for the first time after being elected to his initial term in November.

Monday’s organizational meeting also included the election of the City Council’s Vice-President. Council member Danielle Flasher was unanimously chosen for the position, a role she previously held.

The next regular meeting of the Warren City Council is scheduled for Jan. 19 at 7 pm.

Starting at $3.50/week.
