James Michael “Pickles” Donovan, 73, passed away peacefully on Dec. 17, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida, after a long battle with cancer. James was surrounded by love at the time of his passing, with his wife, Diane Donovan, and children by his side.
Born July 6th 1952 and raised in Warren, Pennsylvania, James devoted his life to his family and was married to Diane for 48 years. He was a hard worker who spent many years in the construction and electrical trades. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball and later found great enjoyment in fishing, hunting, baseball, and football. Known for always lending a helping hand, James was a great father and was loved dearly by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John (Jack) Donovan; his mother, Twila June Borger; and his best friend, William “Bill” Weldon.
James is survived by his wife, Diane Donovan; his Daughter, Mackenzie Young (Jamie) along with Granddaughter Laykin and Son Patrick Donovan; his Step Mother Elizabeth Donovan, his sister, Virginia Donovan; his brother, John “Pat” Donovan; and his half-brother, Henry Borger, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
