Sally Ann Asbury, 82, of East Main St., Youngsville, PA, passed away at home on Sunday morning, Nov. 16, 2025. Born on Aug. 5, 1943 on Murray Hill in Youngsville, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude Vogt DeVore. Sally graduated from Youngsville High School and married Carl Asbury who preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2024. She was retired from her employment at Warren Career Center where she worked for many years. She was a member of Penn State Extension Board, the Hill and Dale Garden Club, and Master Gardener. She enjoyed nature, travel, reading, watching baseball and cooking for her family.
Sally is survived by her daughter, Ann Asbury of Youngsville; her son, Anson Asbury of Decatur, GA; 5 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Willy (Dora) DeVore, Harry (Ruth Ann) DeVore, Denny (Sandy) DeVore and George (ReeAnn) DeVore; 1 sister, Linda (Jack) Sturges and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sharon Stec and Sue Burleigh; and 1 brother, Anson DeVore.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Pittsfield. The family suggests those wishing to place a memorial in Sally’s memory, may do so to the Youngsville Fire Department or the Youngsville Public Library.
